Daily loss limit vs. maximum loss limit
TL;DR: Daily Loss Limit = maximum you can lose in one day (resets at midnight). E.g. ZP 2-Step $100K: $5,000/day. Maximum Loss Limit = maximum total loss; same account cannot go below $90,000. Breaching either pauses or ends your account.
Daily Loss Limit
Based on initial balance, resets at 00:00 server time (GMT+2). ZP 2-Step: 5% ($5,000 for $100K). ZP 1-Step: 3% ($3,000). ZP Lite: 4% ($4,000). If you have profit that day, the limit increases (e.g. +$2,000 profit → $7,000). Exceeding it (closed + open/floating) breaches the account until reset.
Maximum Loss Limit
Based on initial balance; resets when you get your Funded Account. ZP 2-Step: 10% (balance cannot fall below $90K). ZP 1-Step: 6% ($94K). ZP Lite: 8% ($92K). Profit increases the limit (e.g. +$4K profit → $14K total allowed loss). Falling below the threshold (including floating) breaches the rule.
Breach consequences
- Daily breach only: Account breached, no new trades; challenge remains breached until you reset. Funded Account breach: You must restart with a new challenge.
- Maximum loss breach: Account paused; challenge requires reset. Funded Account breach: Restart with a new challenge.
When you scale up, both limits adjust proportionally with the new account size. ZeroPoint enforces these limits for risk management: daily limit for day-to-day stability, maximum limit to avoid unsustainable cumulative loss.
